Royal Wedding Inspired

Yesterday we saw Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot and many tuned into the spectacular event.  Comments were made about the various outfits donned for the special occasion and the queen was no exception in her Lemon/Lime outfit with purple accents.  I couldn’t resist creating a card using these colour tones as it is the perfect spring colour palette.

Screen Shot 2018-05-20 at 13.23.28

The outside was stamped using Concord & 9th’s Wreath Turnabout (and I have to say this is super easy to use!) along with inks from the Aladine IZINK range – full list of supplies below.  A window was created and then the other wreath stamp option used on the inside with Memento inks and Aladine Embossing powders.

Once the card was closed it gave a peak of the message inside.

I hope you found inspiration from all the fashionable outfits worn to the big day too!

Supplies used in this project:-

Concord & 9th Wreath Turnabout Stamp Set, Izink Dye inks Cassis & Verveine, Pigment inks Lemon, Light Pink & Violet.IZINK Embossing Powder Relief Geranium, WOW Embossing Pad,  Memento New Sprout, Angel Pink & Lulu Lavender dye inks & Spellbinders reverse scallop nesting die.

My Daughter is moving to Dubai soon and I have made her a little set of Birthday/Thank you cards using the same stamp to pack in her case – the box is fairly simple, I would normally decorate it more but don’t want to weigh her luggage down too much!

Art Deco Romance

Hi, I am back with a card I created quite a while ago for one of my Husband’s colleagues, who wanted something special to accompany the ring for a proposal for marriage….luckily the recipient said YES!

Art Deco Lace Valentine

To create this card

Hero Arts Gracious Lady (G2811) was stamped onto cream card using Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko Tuxedo Black ink, coloured with Copics and cut out. I hand cut a scalloped doily from lace fabric to mount behind the image. Three roses were made from felt using Spellbinders Bitty Blooms and the two hearts were cut from mountboard using Sizzix Doodle Dies Hearts and overstamped with the tail of the bird from Penny Blacks Sweet Melody Stamp set. The background was stamped and clear embossed onto cream card using Penny Black Bed of Roses and then rubbed over with Memento Tuxedo black ink. A With love printed ribbon was added to the bottom and a double bow made from satin ribbon.
